Fabulous, Christie! The Brullee is this year’s Swann.

Aren’t our feet hilarious. I wear 6.5 and bought these in a 6.5 so for me they were true to size.

Hmm, I must be the strange one. My normal sandal size is between 8.5 and 9 and for Brulees I sized down to 8.5.

Christie, your outfit sounds great! I'm glad Brulees are working out for you.

Hmm, that's interesting about sizing up. My normal size didn't work for me because my 2nd and 3rd toes were hanging off the sole, which was very disappointing. I think I'll give bigger size a shot - I really want them to work.

Christie, your outfit sounds awesome, and I remember the dress!

Your outfit sounds incredible!

I had a similar experience as you. I sized up to a 6.5 for a little more room in the toe area, but it was loose around my heel and ankle. I have a lot of the ankle strap dangling off at the end because I have it on the last hole, but luckily the top strap can be moved so it doesn't look so weird (I don't know if that made sense, but I mean it isn't fixed in place). I was going to poke an extra hole, but decided against it. I would rather keep the straps a little loose so they remain comfortable. I can't wait to wear them out, but it's just too cold and rainy for them right now.

Ok. Add one more to the Brulee list. I ran to the Clarks store at lunch yesterday to check out what the hoopla was all about. I decided to buy the pewter color, which seems to grab two trends at once: gray and gladiators. They are quite comfortable. I have really thin ankles, and a thin foot, and they feel a little big around the heel at 7.5 (I usually wear 8s). But the 7s were too tight at the toe. I decided I would rather have a roomy toe box than a tight one.

I wore then on our evening walk around the park, and they felt good. These may be the first pair of shoes I have ever owned that did not give me a blister.

Today, I decided to try them as smart casual: I paired them with skinny-straightish dark jeans, my black w/white polka dotted wrap dress (which some of you saw last year, when I posted a photo), an orange cami under, a green cardi over, and metallic, pewter colored "pearls." The shoes work great. They were comfy on the bike ride to work and didn't slip off my pedals. And they work with a smart-casual ensemble perfectly.

I'm so excited. If any of you are hesitant about Gladiators, you should definitely check out these shoes.
