I would have thought maybe smart trousers or skirt with top, nicely accessorised of course with higher heels etc. Or also a nice dress like the one that you linked, or maybe the sliky one you mentioned. I think that either of them would be spot on for the dinner. I will be interested to see if anyone agrees with my comments. I've talked to a few other girls, who go out to occasions like this more frequently than I do and they are planning on wearing cocktail dresses, which I know they have a large selection of. I'm incredibly poor right now, so I'm attempting to make an outfit out of what I have at home!
