tarzy, maya, and debbie - Tarnish peacock scarf seems to be back in stock in black (looks teal to me!), gold, brown, and spice @Nordstrom.com. Hope one of them is the color you wanted!

Oh man, Angie blogged about jackets sometime in November I think ... I lusted after a red plaid Lucky jacket on Nordstrom's site. I passed it up though because it was $170 and I wanted a new dress more. I've thought about it on and off over the past month, and finally googled the jacket name and found it on sale last week at the Lucky site with an additional 30% off. I got the beauty for $70 and the only size left was medium! So this was a time my procrastination actually paid off! I believe in shopping karma ... like Chewy, if something I want sells out, I also think it wasn't meant to be. This jacket totally was karma ...

I am in the UK and so most of Angie's suggestions aren't available here. When she recommended some things from H&M, which we do have here and very nearby, I ran straight out and bought them! Think I wouldn't manage it so often if I could get more here and I was overwhelmed with stuff when Angie recommended some asos things and never got any...

Hmmm, I must be a different kind of shopper. I'm very, very picky when I shop, and *never* buy on my first impulse. Ever. I can't say I've ever *really* regretted something I *didn't* purchase (or for not more than a couple of hours anyway.) I look back over the year and of all the things I saw that I liked, or loved, (online, in the store, whatever) not one thing stands out.

I guess I just fall in and out of love easily! (Except with my kids and hubby. Been with him for nearly 30 years and still love him tons! They are may only long term loves I guess! LOL)

Yes, I've missed items before and been really, really bummed out about it. I usually do NOT buy items full price, but whether or not I splurge early depends more and more on where I'm buying it from and whether I think I'm likely to really regret an item that I missed because I was waiting for it to go on sale.

The bright ATL scarf that I fell in love with, as well as the pumpkin cardigan that I can't stop wearing, were both going out of stock FAST. Fortunately I had a gift card and discount coupons, so I didn't feel too guilty.
The Tarnish peacock scarf was one that I hoped would go on sale last year, but really regretted missing out on. At the Seattle YLF meetup, Angie mentioned that it would be quite unlikely to go on sale, so I decided to snap one up before they went out of stock.

For other items that are more widely available (such as Clarks shoes, which can be purchased from a variety of vendors, or staple items like Gap jeans) I'm willing to wait a while because I know that the price will come down eventually, and they are highly unlikely to sell out quickly.

All the time. I wear a size 10 1/2 shoe and most stores only stock a few pair, if any. Time after time I think and think, or wait for them to go on sale, and then it is too late--nothing left. I swear that next year I'm going to think it through early and then pounce as soon as the shoes, boots, whatever, appear in the stores.

Scarves sell out incredibly fast. They are the one item I never wait for a sale on; if I see one I like I buy it immediately. It is often already gone from their website by the time I try to post it on my blog. Luckily I usually buy mine from Old Navy, Target, LOFT, etc so they're reasonably priced.

That said, I often have terrible luck with Angie's shoes recommendations; by the time I finally get around to ordering a pair, my size is long gone.

Lol, I was sure you were talking about the people in shopping centres (especially around Christmas) who dawdle along absentmindedly glancing left and right in the stores, holding up the traffic. Of course, I always try to remember that they are probably as frazzled as me and are daydreaming away due to Christmas shopping-induced exhaustion.

What I'm confused about now is that it says the only color left is gold, yet it's showing what used to be called "black." If it's the black one in the picture, I might go for it, but if it's the yellow one, I'll pass.

Recently I've missed out on a couple of great scarves that Angie posted, and I'm kicking myself. I really need to learn to jump on her suggestions before they sell out! A while ago it was that amazing peacock scarf from Nordstrom's, and then it was the red leopard from ASOS. Sigh.

Have you missed the boat on any Angie-approved items that you later regretted?
