It looks like a fun pattern and would be a snap to sew not having any zippers or buttons. Not sure I could do it myself - reminds me a lot of the late 80's MCHammer looks, etc. It takes a lot for me to adjust to new-inspired-by-the-past looks though, having lived through several fashion eras and morph processes myself.

I think, and if any other ladies my age have time to think about this, it might be due to having developed the skill and desire to be ready to ditch fashions as they go out of style - so the eye becomes "poisoned", as they say. It then becomes hard to think of those same once outdated lines, cuts, colors or fabrications as on trend, or workable for today's wardrobes.

Does anyone else see it this way?

I'm really clueless about all things sewing, MPJ, but I like the idea of hiding the elastic waist with a beautiful belt.

Available at McCall's - http://mccallpattern.mccall.co.....age_id=114

Kind of like the flat front...I know elastic waist (in the back) isn't the height of fashion, but if you hide it with an obi belt or some such, I'd think you'd be all set.

Thoughts?
