Depending on the cut the pleats can just stick out because of the hip width. It does not mean they will never work, just have to be more careful with them.<br /> Flat fronted ones are much easier to fit. I love mine (thanks Suz) and find them really flattering for my curves. I got my own slouchy pants by simply wearing slim leg trousers in a drapey fabric one size too large. If the fabric works, it makes for a nice look, and you know they will fit your thighs. But cross-over pants and harem pants are possibly *too* slouchy for me.
