They have a little gangsta vibe! Love them -- the way they sit at the waist is marvelous! I agree with Angie about the length, although I don't mind #3. I like them best without the sweater and with the cardi, although the first photos are kind of dark, and that my be affecting my view.

Brava!
Wow, you are so talented, I can not believe you made those pants! I really like them styled like in #4. As for the length, Angie has spoken

I love the lighthearted way she says, "I think I'll add a little cuff." Sort of like me saying, "I think I'll put on a pot of tea."

Wow. Just wow. In awe of your sewing skills!

You look great in the slouchy look. And I love your belt, too, and the way it plays with the pattern on the shirt from 4 going forward!

Thanks, everyone!
Angie, thanks for weighing in. I think I'll add a little cuff, to get some of the length back.
Tina.b, maybe I'll make another pair that just tapers all the way down the leg. So, a little slouch in the upper thigh, but tapered from there. I have a linen blend fabric that I want to make into some kind of pants; maybe this is what it will become.
WOW, the pants are the the perfect degree of slouchiness. You are so talented! I won't delve into PPL as Angie has you covered, but you should definitely make another pair. Great wardrobe addition!

I like them better in #3. #1 is a lot of fabric around your knees and that is not a good look. Probably the fabric is stiff and that prevents it from scrunching around your ankles.

I love the first pair of pants! Great fit! I'm going to split hairs about the lengths though - do you know me to do otherwise?

I think they need to be shorter than #1 but longer than #3.

I prefer them at the longer original length, but then again I like my pants to be on the long and scrunchy side. To me, the slouch looks more intentional that way. I also like them rolled with the booties.

How about trying them tucked into boots (mid-calf maybe) too?

I made some slouchy pants and wore them to work on Monday. Then I wore them again today for play, on a day off. I wasn't entirely happy with the leg line, and a friend suggested I shorten them a little. So I did. I also tried wearing them rolled.
The pants are a medium weight stretch cotton, in dark indigo/navy with chalk pinstripes about 1/8" apart. They have a side panel, legs that widen toward the knee and taper back down at the ankle, front pockets inserted in the panel seam, and back pockets that are inserted into the back yoke seam. I was inspired by pants I have bought, and I wanted a full-length rather than cropped version.

1&2: As worn to work yesterday. Navy stripe slouch pants (made by me), geometric-print silk blouse in red/blue/cream/gray (made by me), open-weave high-low hem sweater (Kensie, from Nordstrom), brown croc-textured leather belt (Ralph Lauren), brown flat oxfords (Born)

Next photos taken after I shortened the pants:
3: As worn for play today. Slouch pants with scroll print tee (made by me), light grey boyfriend sweater with high-low hem (Halogen, Nordstrom), muted metallic belt w/ scattered studs and rhinestones (Calvin Klein, Nordstrom), oxblood patent loafers (Munro).
4&5: same as 3, without sweater, to show the top of the pants.

Next ones, playing with shoe options. . .
6: Same as 3, but with heeled spectator oxfords (Fidji)
7: Same as 3, but with pants rolled, and with graphite booties (Paul Green)
8: Same as 7, but with pants unrolled.
9: Pants front detail
10: Inspiration pants (Annette Goertz)

Not sure how flattering the slouchy look is at this length, but the pants are comfy and fun to wear.
Do I need another pair of these? Yay or nay?

Your thoughts and styling ideas welcome!
