I have them in burgundy, and am on my second pair. I need good cushioning and support, nothing even close to backless, and a slipper that is fairly "stiff" overall, and these Acorns are perfect for cold months. The thick rubber sole is just the right amount of traction for my (soft) wood floors which are mostly antique pine covered by area rugs. They are also super tough; mine developed a small hole near my right big toe and I thought I was going to have to replace at the beginning of this current winter, but the hole has NOT spread so I can wait another year..
