For once, that wasn't a problem for me; I normally wear a 9.5 and sized down to a 9. Thank goodness for the anti-virals, which I started taking right away. The first week was awful. A lot of pain, plus I was running a fever and felt like I had the flu. After that, though, I started to feel better, and the pain started to ease up - slowly at first, then faster. At this point, I'm not in much pain most of the time, and I'm just waiting for the rash to go away. </p> <p>If you're able to get the vaccine, I highly recommend it. I had been thinking of getting it. I didn't know that even though it's FDA approved for individuals over 50 in the US, most insurances won't cover it until you're 60. I'm 52. If you do get it, I also highly recommend the anti-viral medication. Literally.), I saw slip-ons in a leopard print. Cheapie ones, but really quite cute. For some reason, I decided to try them on. The shingles are NOT anywhere near my feet. Amazingly, they fit. On sale for $14.97 minus 10% for the first Tuesday of the month, minus rewards, I think they ended up being around 8 bucks. They won't last long.
