I love the colour and pattern.<br /> I think for me, being just that ??10 years or so older than you I didn’t wear them when they were in fashion before. I am much more an 80s girl than a 90s girl, was so busy having the kids in the 90s I never picked up a fashion magazine and liked the leggings/long jumpers look for its ease and comfort.<br /> I associate the spaghetti straps with the 00s when my girls were teenagers- Rebecca’s Year 13 ball dress in 2008 had them, but it was more full-skirted not a slip.<br /> I do like to wear strapless bras with my maxi dresses as the wide straps on them sort of gape and show my bra straps, which I do not like. I get really annoyed with falling-down bra straps too! I am like Rachylou with very sloping shoulders. They use beautiful quality silks that wash up well and don't show up undergarments. I am not wearing any special underwear, except I have on a strapless bra. I have a small bust. so I wear this with a strapless bra and feel very secure that no wardrobe malfunctions are going to occur. I also keep the straps rather high, so no gaping when bending down. I do appreciate that for those with a larger bust a dress like this is going to be more revealing on you than for someone like me.</p> <p>My slip dress is properly cut on the bias, so it is fine to expand over my hips as I am pear shaped. A badly cut bias dress is terrible on me, but this is a brand (and heft of silk) that cuts their dresses on the true bias. <b>Smittie</b> - if I can wear a bias cut dress, you definitely can!</p> <p>Because I was young in the 90's and wore these dresses, I think that is why I like them again.
