I think the cut and fit of an item usually matters more than the pattern. I have a striped sweater that is fairly body-con and that helps to counteract any widening effect the stripes might have. I love this top because it is slimming, and it just happens to be a horizontal stripe. Ironically I realize I have never experienced this with a vertical stripe. I am learning that fit/cut matters the most when shopping (over color and pattern), because fit seems to govern the silhouette -- flattering or not so flattering</p> <p>I am waiting for the locksmith to arrive so I figured I would indulge in my favorite past time. I apologize for the lack of make up but you know what I look like by now. </p> <p>I also did not add much in the way of jewelry or accessories because I did not want to mess up or distract from the slimming effect. </p> <p>So I am posting this in honor of all you YLF women out there who think they can't wear a stripe.
