And it's the typical straight Asian hair - won't braid or hold a ponytail unless it's really long because it's so slippery! But having it colored roughs it up some. I think Rae's hair is similar but probably healthier, and climate makes a difference too. The back is now a bit stacked which has released a lot of my natural curl and the razor cut thinned out some of the bulk so it's not at all puffy (as I feared).<br /> Tell them you want it roughed up--the pics will help a lot! When I thought about what was really missing, I figured I would instead treat myself to my razor cut sooner rather than later, and I made an appointment with a place near me with really great reviews. I let the scheduler know that I'd never been there before and specifically wanted someone good with a razor. </p> <p>Here are some of the pix I'm thinking to bring to demonstrate the way I want the hair to fall, as well as the razored/feathered tips. Una's texture will be front and center, especially since good examples on dark hair are hard to find. </p> <p>Bonus b/w pic is of the pixie I'm thinking I might go for down the road, if/when I find my "magic" stylist. :)</p> <p>Thanks again to everyone who helped me in my past hair posts, teaching me new terminology and techniques by which to communicate with hairdressers. I also have a few pics of haircuts I DON'T like to show the stylist - another YLF suggestion that I thought was truly brilliant. You guys rock! </p>
