Maybe it is also the plasticity that also keeps these slides on? I thought my feet would slosh around due to sweat, but thankfully not. Normally, I would want a back strap, but these black slides are snug enough (or maybe stick to my skin enough) and are cut high enough up not to need on?

The big bone by my right foot's big toe is quite tender so horizontal straps and the weight they bear tend to give me problems so Carla's solution probably wouldn't work for me. :(

I guess the answer is never say *never*, right? There may be an answer out there.

I too have feet issues and slides don’t cut it. Break my neck in them each time. I too go for cross and back straps to keep them on, hence I like #2 best- haha
Sometimes you have to look past the material and go for comfort more than longevity.
Enjoy wearing them- they are cute shoes.

Great selections. Does the plastic make your feet sweat?

Love getting these reviews.

I have found it difficult to keep flat slides on at all. I did find a heeled mule that worked but didn't buy due to price. I don't do well, alas, with the crossover strap slingback style, even though I find it super flattering and attractive. My heel just falls out of the strap no matter what. A strap like Carla's sandal is less flattering on my foot but more reliable in terms of stability.

My low volume bunioned feet (and collapsed left foot arch) really love these.

I have bunions on wide-ish forefeet and pretty much zero arches. I bought the cognac sandals below a few months ago and concluded that they work for me because my bunions stretch the straps reasonably snugly over my non-existent arches plus the crossing straps provide support. I have avoided slides due to the volume issue until I saw the black Topshops below. I figured I could risk a possible $22 mistake. They are PVC so stick a little to my feet (no clacking) and are comfortable because their whole size Euro sizing works for my foot length.
