Puff sleeves are the attraction to me, and I also suspect that, in contrast to my summer strategy, I might want pattern near my face. </p> <p>Here are the climate stats for where I’m going. Weekdays I’ll be in the public records office at the clerk of courts 8-4:30. It is windowless and the climate control is not extreme. Most people dash in, look up what they need, and are out in half an hour without taking their coats off, (but there are a few real estate agents and genealogists who stay all day and take off outwear). I’ll make some trips to Special Collections at the university library too. People don’t dash around in their jackets, but the temps/humidity need to stay constant there too, for the sake of the documents. I expect I’ll be slightly dressier than the norm, but what else is new?</p> <p>Is the 5’10” client about as big around as me? It's hard to tell. Personally, I LOVE them! I like puffy sleeves. They suit my narrow shoulders and persona. The colours are delicious to me too. It's a win-win. I feel chic and fab in mine. I like a good dose of pretty in my outfits so it makes sense. Plus cashmere works well in wet and cold Seattle for 5 months of the year.&nbsp;</p> <p>Will cashmere work well in the US state you are heading to? Or would you do better with merino, or cotton? Order the regular. These are not long pullovers. I have two of the puff shoulder - orange and pink - and they blouson to a shorter length beautifully because of the welt! See pics.</p> <p>For the Talbots Ikat sweater, the petite would be okay to order. The sleeves aren't long anyway. The petite worked on my 5ft 10 client in an XL. The length will be great with skirts. I do think the regular will be a better fit on you though. You are quite tall. We ended up with the L Regular for my 5ft 10 client too. Better fit.
