So adorable! I've never seen a little skunk family like that. Was that them making those noises? Never heard a skunk talk like that either!

Poor Lilypup's. My cousin just took her dogs on a kayaking/camping trip. They ate and rolled in dead fish, then wanted to cuddle with her in the sleeping bag.

Porridge loves to roll in fox poo which stinks. Skunk sounds far far worse - but however lillpup has learnt her knowledge, I wish she could send a lesson to Porridge!

Oh and the giant cactus - that was 10 ft tall! And someone took a 20 ft tree! The missing sign for the cactus was hilarious. It was basically a rant about how the thief was going to burn in eco hell because they wouldn't know how to care for it. Lolol.

Thing about Lilypup, her learning is selective. Like, she's learned to bark in the backyard because now we have one and that's what all the other dogs do. She learned to bark in greeting when she was hanging with Seamus, the chi-terrier. And she learned not to bother following me when we're moving until the third box is on the dolly. But that was her fifth skunking at least!

Oh no! IBut I'm glad skunkypup has learned to stay away. My parents' neighbors feed the deer in their neighborhood, which means that all of the critters come over for a free meal. Their dog has been sprayed 2x and last time we went up to visit, our dog was sprayed. I was (am still am) that they had enough baking soda and hydrogen peroxide on hand so we could get him cleaned up without making a midnight store run.

I'm glad Lilypup can learn and evolve and decide, "I don't want this again." Deskunkifying is such a pain!

I wish Mr Skunky (not his real name) would think that way. He seems to want revenge. After the last time, I asked for advice, and TexStyle suggested we not let him out in the backyard off leash once it got dark. She's a genius! We have followed that advice and (knock on wood) he hasn't been skunked since (or maybe so far). My husband takes both of the boys out for a bedtime walk. He's actually seen a skunk, but was able to back away unskunked.

As off topic as you can get... after getting skunked for the zillonth time last week, skunky pup may have learned finally... we were just out for our walk and there was a skunk right there and for once Lilypup stopped short and turned off to sniff a bush. We walked not 15 ft in front of it.

And last we week I think she knew what was coming. Ran all over the backyard and tried to bury herself in the dirt. But no such luck for her: she got a good soaking in skunk off.

Probably not tho. The skunk was very calm. There is some herding instinct I think in Lilypup. If a thing stands still, then she's satisfied. She doesn't want to catch anything.

There was also a big dog out just standing there by itself, later on our walk. That was pretty weird. Not that kind of neighborhood. My old neighborhood, there was a sign for a missing pet on every lamppost... and also missing giant cactii...
