My measurements are similar in proportion (36 hip 27 waist I think, though I definitely have a defined waist) and I tend to look for flared or a-line skirts for exactly this reason, because the width at the hip is built into the design. But a pencil skirt will also look great. Sounds like you have an hourglass shape? Could you look for skirts in a drapey fabric or jersey, like the one I'm wearing today? I can't say I have "no" waist because my waist is there, it is just very wide :). I am not complaining; it is a fact of life and I've learned to embrace it instead of fighting it. </p> <p>Anyway to get back to your question, I've bought several skirts at Old Navy and Target this spring that worked out very nicely.
