Of course now that you mentioned about the print placement on the first one I can't unsee it either lol. I am also not a fan of all around pleats, I carry my weight in my stomach area and although pleated skirts look good on me front view, the side view just seems to accentuate what I'm usually trying to hide, plus I feel as though I need to wear with high heels which simply isn't happening. I would definitely wear white tops with these too. My preference is to wear darker colors/prints on my bottom half, but I feel like the snake print is a good middle ground incorporating dark and light. What a great print! It is the lightest colour of the 4 skirts you show, and paired with a black topper, which is going to make your upper body look comparatively smaller. Optics, really. I don’t rule them out, as they are not all created the same, but I find them difficult. Too often they cling in the exact spots that emphasize that which I prefer to deemphasize. </p> <p>As for the third one... I have *almost* a poison eye for pleated skirts on myself. I may just not be a good judge of the look since it *feels* like so much volume/bulk. I try to never say never, but every time I’ve tried one, it hasn’t felt like my best look. I don’t care for the way the pleats sort of poof out when I sit down either.
