They both look GREAT on you. The miniskirt plus boots really works well on you!

They look similar enough in fit, that I would get the one that feels best. And the option to tuck in is good to have, so I'd say the smaller.

This is exactly why I never wear skirts like this. Because IMO a looser fit looks and feels better (at least when standing still and sitting) but then it rotates around and around and rides up and drives me nuts.

So yeah I prefer the look of the looser one but I'm also very cognizant of how annoying it might be. They do both look good on you though so if the smaller one is comfortable then go for it.

The first one looks like a better fit. The second one looks a little big on you and if it shifts around when you walk it will be annoying.

Then I would go for the first one! That may be my personal preference, since I really hate it when skirts shift on me. But I really like how it looks on you.

The larger size is too low to tuck, but I tucked in the smaller size to give a sense of wear the skirt rests on my torso. It passes the sit test.

The smaller one looks like a better fit to me, though the tuck vs untuck is throwing me a little. Have you tried sitting? Skirts that fit just snugly in the hip sometimes ride up (and stay there) when I sit.

I usually wear skirts in the same size or one size larger than my jeans/pants size. Often, the skirts sit at my hip, rather than the waist, because skirts than fit at the waist tend not to fit in the hips. This results in either a straight silhouette, or one that billows slightly in an unflattering way.

I reached for this skirt in my usual size, but the salesperson recommended sizing down, and then two down. Two down, it fits like a typical mini--quite well at the waist, no puckering, but obviously shorter in length. It stays put when I walk. In my usual size, the skirt is straighter in silhouette, but sits at the hip. Because it's looser, it's more prone to shifting when I walk. It's looser and longer.

The two look pretty similar in the photos, though. Do you think one fits better than the other?

ETA: I wouldn't wear these tights with the skirt, but I couldn't find my wool ones.
