I don't know if it will really get a chance to take off, Ana. The reason I feel comfortable doing it is because I'll be at home in suburban NJ where hopefully no one will actually see me :p

I think they'll do much better than 2 hours, especially if they bypass the widest part of my foot, which is really the main cause of my fussy feet. I don't think I have the same problem with straps as you do Angie. I used to wear ballet flats that had skinny straps crisscrossing over the instep and around the ankle and they were quite comfortable (unfortunately I had to retire them after seven years of noble service). It really depends how flexible and soft they are. We shall see tomorrow. I plan to wrap my feet up in saran wrap and take them for a test drive around the neighborhood :p

I understand what you're saying Angie (I took a year of color theory!). Well, if the red ones work out I won't have to worry about it I ordered from Zappos so they should be here Tuesday.

I definitely will be wearing bright tops with that skirt. I think there's a way to jazz up that ring, and I can certainly use my toes as an accessory.

I'm not forcing the white shoe issue, really! But cream and white sort of blend when you wear them together. The cream becomes more white; and the white becomes cream . I don’t mean to sound obtuse.

Pretty skirt. Wear a bright top? Paint the D-ring? Glue on beads? Red toes!

The Me Toos need some more stretch in the toe box. I had to get a 6 instead of a 6.5 because they just would not stay on my foot. I'm going to take them to a shoe repair place this week and I think that will make them perfect. The cushioning is brilliant though. I'm miffed that I can't return the 6.5 pair though. That's a lot of money down the drain :(

My cream pants are too close too being white, I think. My skin actually isn't as dark as it looks in the photos I've posted. I think the horrible lighting makes it look darker than it really is, and my feet are especially pale because they never see the sun :)

I was thinking of maybe popping in some kind of colorful ornament in that ring if I can figure out how!

These sandals might work in regular width because the widest part of your foot is beyond the strap, Maya. I’m all for brights (sad face). I’d have suggested the white. Pops against your dark skin and they might work with cream. Don’t know how cream your cream pants are. White and cream can blend well. Let us know how they work out.

Have your new Me Toos’ stretched? Patched?

I ordered them in a wide black and a medium red (half a size bigger) so I can compare. Maybe I'll luck out. It might be good to have them be a little more snug since they're slides and I don't want them falling off my foot (as long as they don't dig or strangle my toes).

Hmm, maybe you could get the colorful one in medium width, go to the really good cobbler and ask in advance of any work if he believes he could stretch them enough?

I love the red too Tanya. Red, blue, and orange were all fine with me but they just don't produce them in a wide. I tried the Walking Company, Zappos, Nordstrom, and even QVC. I have concluded that Sofft just didn't produce them because the neutrals probably sell best.

My other alternative would be to get one of the colorful ones in a medium and have them stretched, but I don't know if they can be stretched out enough, and if it didn't work out I wouldn't be able to return them.

Maya, that skirt is lovely! I would personally go with the color 'light red patent', to make it pop,but if that one does not come in your size, than black. Brown feels kind of off with it to me. White would be fine as well.

This is one of my favorite skirts for summer:

http://www.kaboodle.com/review.....er-skirt-7

In the other thread Ana recommended these sandals and they really grew on me, especially when I imagined them with my beloved skirt. I got really excited about them only to find out that they tragically do not make the colorful ones in a wide width :(. I think the orange would look beautiful with the many black and white pieces I have in my wardrobe, but since I have fussy feet I am just going to take what I can get. My choices are white, brown, and black. I don't think I'm going to go with white since I would like to wear them with my cream pants, but I am wondering if it's odd to throw in brown with black and white? Should I just go with black?

These are the shoes:
