You are so lucky that you can wear the "peggings", they look good on you.
With all due respect, each piece is great individually, but together they are not very strong. The peggings look really hip while the tops look more conservative. The proportions are also a bit out of balance.

I think that a long, lean sweater or a boyfriend jacket with make you look classically modern. You could even do a lean long sweater with a belt. Also, I love the look of an above the knee dress or tunic with peggings. You look as if you have the body and the legs to pull this all off.

Good lUck !

Kristine I think the pants are great! Agree a longer top could work a bit better but the most important thing is you have great pants - what a start!!!

Thank you for the tips Angie! I like those ideas.

I just read your post on top length and I think I'll give this sweater a try with skirts.

Thanks everyone!

The jeans and boots are great! I'd leave off this necklace and add a tunic cascading cardigan. Add a long necklace instead.

Our office runs the gamut, so sometimes it's hard to determine. Fleeces, birkenstocks, jeans and t-shirts aren't unusual, but the highest level people wear suits. I admit I was a little uncomfortable and might save skinny jeans for Fridays or with a dressy tunic or longer jacket.

I think you put together a great outfit there. I agree that a tunic-type top would be more current though.
It does seem a bit casual for office wear, but you know your office....

I actually think this is too casual for an office, but maybe it wouldn't be with a blazer on top.

Oh, nice jeans and boots. I would prefer a slightly longer top and like a touch of a lighter (cream/ white) or brighter colour to add further interest. I definitely think the look is suitable for a casual office.

I think the black skinnies are fine for smart casual work i've just bought some ponte knit ones for work. For me the top is a bit too traditional. I love the necklace x

Thanks medusa! I go back and forth on how I feel about skinnies at work. They just feel so darn skinny sometimes. I think I'll avoid this particular sweater with them, but I'll try them with a longer tunic or sweater. A longer top would also smooth over some of the wrinkles from sitting at a desk.

Kristine, I think the outfit is not bad at all, and certainly appropriate for a casual office. Those colors are beautiful on you and a nice combination.

I think it would look a bit better with a longer top.

For some reason I don't feel fab in it, although I did when I set out this morning. Can you help me identify the issue? Are black skinny jeans appropriate for a casual office? Is the sweater is too short or too fitted/traditional for skinnies? Is the black/brown combo not working? Or is it just too rumpled from sitting all day?
Or am I just being too tough on myself?

Cashmere polo sweater (hard to describe the color, dark violet-red), brown turtleneck, black skinny jeans and dark brown boots. Pointers welcome!
