Yeah, I've noticed some of the Kohls brands run kind of large. In Vera Wang I've also tried a XS and thought it was too big. I think some of the Vera Wang line runs intentionally slouchy so that could be part of it too.

Ive gotten used to that annoying size difference between brands, but what *really* gets to me is when there is a huge difference within the different lines, or names, of one brand! They should at least use the same measurements within their own brand name! aagghh....

Thanks for the reality check ladies. I realized that I am very used to having to get a bigger size when I try clothes on but not being able to find something that is small enough just really threw me for a loop. In general it was just one of those days where whatever I liked they didn't have it in my size. And I've learned here that I deserve better than 'almost'.

I think the Vera Wang, the Chaps line, and the Dana Buchman line all run large at Kohl's. Actually, I tried on an Elle jacket there once in an XS and it was still too large. I really don't get it, because I'm not an XS either.

Yeah, size really doesn't mean a whole lot anymore. I'm not familiar with Simply Vera Wang either so I don't have much to offer but I know I vary size-wise between brands big time. It seems like you have to bring several sizes to the dressing room, which probably isn't such a bad thing; we probably buy a better fit now than when we had size prejudices.

I don't know about Simply Vera Wang but I've had times when I'm an XS in one item and then a L in another item, by the same designer. I understand your frustration.

I recently went to Kohl's and saw this skirt
http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStor.....+Skirt.jsp
I am all about skirts and dresses this summer. It gets sticky hot and humid where I live and the feather weight of this skirt combined with the pattern really appealed to me. Since Vera Wang is a known designer I guessed that I should start with the high end of my size range. I grabbed a large and went to the dressing room. Loved the length, the look, but too big. Fine I went back and got a medium. Still too big (really?!?!) OK I went back and got a small. Still too big (huh?!?!?). I went back and looked for an extra small which they did not have. I know I haven't posted any photos yet but, trust me, there is not a known universe in which I qualify as an extra small. Does anyone know, does Simply Vera Wang run ridiculously big or is it just this skirt? The whole experience was rather bizarre.
