I’d try belting them to tighten the behind, that works for me for pairs I simply love too much to part with despite minor sizing issues

I didn’t realize this was old sorry!

Janet we share the same problem! I have wider hips, fuller thighs, and not much for a butt. I could add some size and shape to my tush, but then it makes it tricker to find clothes in a large enough size that fit everywhere. (I'm 5'11" and wear a size 14. So definitely not a tiny, petite girl who can slip into the last of the size Smalls.)

I have had my tailor alter the butt area on trousers. These jeans have the triple-needle type seam which is difficult to alter, so she may not be able to help me.

Welcome to my world. Even without sizing up, I get baggy butt. I have wide hips and substantial thighs, but not much of a booty, so I have to accept a certain amount of compromise in waist and butt fit. Sometimes alteration is possible, I think, but I've not gone that far. Maybe some of our sewing experts can chime in on that.

I kinda sized up on my skinny jeans (Gap Always Skinny, dark inky blue wash). Basically, I've lost some more weight and dropped a jeans size or two. So my size 33 (or 16 regular) jeans are now slouchy. My problem is...they are really baggy in the butt, even freshly washed. Is that okay?? They're large enough I can roll the waist actually, which helps take up some excess room.

Is the baggy butt okay? Sometimes I love them, especially cuffed and worn with heels. But other times I feel they are just kinda sloppy.

Ideas?
