Everyone has those thoughts that strike them suddenly, but (not to get caught up in semantics) I've never thought of them as a "6th sense." That makes the cause almost supernatural, when in fact I believe that our brain often remembers things it needs to in the nick of time or coincidences prompt us to do things we had not thought about before.

But regardless of how someone sees it or what one chooses to call it, I am so glad you made that call!

I totally listen. It happens to me all the time. Weirdest (recent) occurrence: I picked up my phone to look up my friend's contact information. I hadn't spoken to her in nearly a year. When I hit the contacts on my phone, her information came up automatically. I am certain that I had not looked it up recently, let alone as the last look-up. There was no reason for it to be there. Honestly? I took it as a message from God and I called her. I've learned never to ignore those messages and feelings. She told me she needed to talk to me, but would call me in a week or so. She did. When I'd called, she'd just been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. (Like most people with lung cancer, she had never smoked or been around second hand smoke; I always thought lung cancer only happened to smokers. Wrong.) I've been able to spend a lot of time with her this last year, and I feel incredibly blessed and grateful that I heard that message and that I acted on it.

Absolutely! One of the few things my Mom *ever* preached to me is if you have a strong feeling about something, follow it!

Agreed. Always listen to your instincts, especially when they tell you to follow up on something.

Every time I have ignored that little nagging gut feeling (whether it's a voice or just a vague notion), I've regretted it. So yes, I absolutely pay attention to my instincts.

I have a very strong sixth sense and am highly intuitive. If that wasn't enough I am blessed to hear an angel guide who tells me to say things or ask questions of people and lo an behold the miracles that ensue make me just do it now. i have gained confidence due to my success and now even my husband finally gets it!

This is a long, convoluted story... if you can make it through to the end... well done!!!!

About two months back I went for an interview at a company that I would very much like to work for. You may remember this because I posted about what I was going to wear. Well the talks sort of faded away and I left things until two weeks ago when I had a fallout with my current boss which reminded me that I needed to take action about finding another job and that I couldn't possibly stay on here for much longer. So I emailed the company again asking if we could possibly chat again about any opportunities and I got a quick friendly response back saying that staff movements were frozen at the time due to some high level changes but she would be in touch.

This past Sunday, I coincidentally bumped into one of the directors (L) of this company at the shops (we used to work at the same company and she knows my husband, who works in the same industry, pretty well) and we had a friendly chat. She was completely uninvolved in our initial discussions. She asked where I was working and I told her and casually mentioned that I was job hunting. A few hours later, I had a message from her on Facebook to contact her. I did and she said that they might have a position for me and she would chat to their HR manager. On Monday, I had an email from the HR manager (M) asking me to come in to chat again. We set the appointment for this afternoon. Yippee.

Come Tuesday morning, I had a call from L saying that the one key person (C) that I needed to talk to was on leave and could I come in next week. I agreed and left things at that, assuming L was calling on behalf of M.

So this morning... in the shower, I suddenly had a 6th sense that maybe I needed to confirm all this with M in case she was still expecting me... and thank goodness I acted on it and sent a mail to M to confirm because she was entirely unaware of the convo I had with L and was still expecting me. I very nearly ignored the thought!

So the point of this longggg post is to ask how often you all listen to your gut instinct or sixth sense or whatever you want to call it?
