I do like the print. It would look fab with red accessories, which, judging from Angie's NYFW posts, is a hot color combo.

I really think this is a step up from "shapeless". And if it really is silk, it could drape beautifully on you. Good luck- hope you win it!

Hey Mo.

I think it would also look fab with skinny jeans. If it's truly a mini, belting it might make it a tad TOO short. I'd probably have to wear it as a tunic since I'm 5'8". You look tall yourself.

Let us know how you like it!

It is on eBay but can be returned. I went ahead with it so I will find out shortly I guess. I like the slight flutter sleeve and it has a black banded neck that's hard to see with this pic. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA.....MEWAX%3AIT

I think it's a nice dress and a great print. Why don't you give it a try? You could experiment with belting it if you don't always want to wear it drapey.

Mo, I love an unfitted dress, but I can't tell if this would have the right cut and swing. The way the neckline falls is a little strange, and it seems cut on the bias, which can be difficult. I love the pattern, though. I think it might work better if it had straps.

But the only way to know is to try! Is it on e-bay?

Barbara, I was wondering about belting. I'm such a rube in that area lol. I have red flats I already see with this I wondered if the front pleat would make belting weird or not. I think I am going to give it a bash and see. When I thought back, I had a cheap nylon a-line shift I loved 15 years ago and have just never tried one again for some reason . . .

Hey Mo.

I too usually wear waist-defining clothing to show off my slim, hourglass shape. But I have embraced 'surrendering my waist' and would wear that dress in a heartbeat - both with and without a belt. Red shoes would look fab with it! Love the print.

I am drawn to this dress but it's not anything like my typical style. All my dresses define the waist and this clearly does not. Should I give it a bash or am I right to be scared? Hee hee! Thanks for chiming in.
