More love for 4! I also really like the pencil skirt outfit with the flats. I think the look is very current and fresh. I also think you look great in a lighter palette. I think as long as you stay with creams--brighter lights--that you won't be washed out.

Too bad those pieces in #4 were misbehaving because I really like the look of the outfit on you. Also agree that straight legs work great on you. That tee in the last outfit is fun!

It's an interesting experiment to do this silhouette challenge and it seems we're all learning from it.

Looks like the experiment is working well for you! I adore #1 and #4 (too bad the items here didn't behave, boo) and #6/7 is super fun too. The below-the-knee length of the skirt in #2/3 is plenty current and I like the look with the loafers, it's a bit funkier and less classic looking than say ballet flats. If you are feeling too cut off in that pairing, do try those flats from #1 here; the "almost nude" color paired with the pointy toe should help a lot towards feeling lengthy. I bought rain boots this year for the first time, and am thinking I need a second pair too. Though I think we get a bit more rain than you do Wasn't it lovely to traipse around and not have to worry about your feet though?? I do love those light color palettes and think they work wonderfully for you; they'll bring more attention to your face/hair.

Regarding the bootcuts, I think that if you could swap to pointy
footwear (like the flats in #1) OR less classic flats (like those
printed loafers in #2) you'll feel better; I also vote to save the
sneakers for skinnies or straight legs. The straight legs do look
fabulous on you (the pair in #1 is divine with the light colored, pointy
flats).

Week two!
1 - Monday: edited version of Friday's look from last week, with different shoes. Pretty happy with this one. I was off button-front shirts for a while but now I'm really liking wearing them.

2/3 - Tuesday: debombshelling a pencil skirt with knit top and cardigan. I liked this but am wondering if the below-knee skirt length isn't so current any more, especially with flats.

4 - Wednesday: slouchy skinnies and a hip-length sweater. I think these proportions work (please correct me if you think I'm wrong) but the actual items were problematic; the pants are too short to stay tucked into booties and the sweater has developed a hole after only one washing (argh!).

5 - Thursday: Stormageddon! Rainpocalypse! Down in the South Bay we didn't have any major flooding or power outages, but it was definitely rainy and windy. Figured I'd make the rain boots a feature since there was no getting away from them, with skinnies and a longer jacket. (The way this winter is going so far, I should diversify into mutiple pairs of rain boots.)

6/7 - Friday: casual Friday with hedgehogs. I've really been drawn to these lighter color palettes recently, maybe because my hair is lighter? (Head chopped off in these b/c my hair wasn't dry yet.) I'm curious whether you think it works for me or if I need stronger contrast.

I've found the 5 silhouettes a great way to get some variety in my dressing each week, and plan to continue, although i don't know if I'll keep taking and posting pics since my pictures seem to be getting worse and worse with the little amount of light we have right now.

Looking at both weeks, I think the dresses and skirts work, and the straightlegs. Not sure about the longer tops, or the bootcuts which are looking quite out of style to my eye.

As always, feedback including constructive criticism is welcome.
