What I took away is that this JFE look can work, but some tweaks might help - mostly focused on a longer leg line. Many of you liked the tapered pants, or, like @BJ111 oor @Janet, suggested a higher top to show off more of the pants, or, like @jonesy, suggested shortening the pants to show some structure at the ankle/longer leg line. This is immensely useful - and I think what this means for me is that I really have to look to balance out the hips. I will try this with shorter tops or maybe even with heels )gasp) or by shortening pants if need be. Ok, not the point but felt compelled to mention it.<br />I can see why this silhouette is a stand by for you and totally get your priorities although we have different shapes (but I am also short waisted and petite height).&nbsp;<br />I like #5 but think the straighter cuts are even more striking and #1 is my favorite. I would experiment with slightly higher hems - but not sure that I wouldn't prefer the longer length in the end. (I am very particular where things end on my legs - at least in theory.) I am a curvy petite hourglass but don't always want to show off my shape - in fact sometimes I like to cover it up. But because I am petite and have a short torso, outfits can sometimes overwhelm me. Angie hit the nail on the head - I am looking for outfits with just enough structure so that they don't overwhelm me. </p> <p>Silhouette #1 is a favorite of mine: Fluid top + flared or easy bottom. The key to this silhouette for me, in my mind, are:<br /> Shorter or faux tucked top<br /> Exposed neck/arms/ankles for structure<br /> Bottom should have neater fit along the hips<br /> Toppers should be Slimmer in profile - thin longline or, if shorter, low contrast.<br /> Footwear should add structure</p> <p>I think I have everything I need for this look and don't need to buy anymore. </p> <p>What do you think? Does this look work on me? So some iterations work more than others? </p>
