I had tried all of the topical treatments in the store and nothing worked. Also at that time I did have caloused rough feet. After taking the prescribed treatment the fungus is all cleared up and I no longer agonize over my aweful feet. The doctor had me get a blood test monthly during treatent to keep a watch on possible liver damage. I promise you, it's not really something grabbing the average viewer at all, the toenail problem. We're seeing cute feet in cute sandals, is all!</p> <p>Btw, hope the teatree oil is getting under the nail and into the bed, as well as being used to occasionally steep your feet. The rough skin you complain of sounds like the same fungus might be affecting the rest of your feet, though it looks (and hopefully feels) a lot less dramatic. And this is the voice of experience, since I have the identical problem (except two years of twice a day teatree and extra B vits and folic later, mine does seem to be in retreat --- touch wood!). He finally had his 2 big toenails removed. I hope they don't grow back and cause problems the way biscuitsmom's did! I swear, it's enough to drive one to drastic measures. My feet need more care than my face! What is up with that?!</p> <p>I've been treating that stupid toenail fungus with teatree oil and other remedies for FOUR YEARS now and nothing makes it better. I'd do the pill thing, but it seems stupid to risk my liver health for vanity (no matter how much those nails bother me, I do have a sense of proportion.) I'm about to give up and put polish on my nail beds, at least then maybe I would feel less dread when gazing at my pods. </p>
