Mochi, I like your selection here and see a classic playfulness (I, too, love her hair). Like Vildy said, she looks a great deal like Audrey Tautou.

The pieces have such wonderful and unique design elements that make her stand out in a refined way. Her neutrals have interest!

Mochi, you are a brunette with wildly curly hair so I think these are great idols for you. They are both super fun and will stand out with the dramatic outfits. Let's see what you can cme up with from the clothes you have!

Love this girl and her style! How chic and refreshing! I can see where a woman of any age could adapt her look --- she has excellent taste in fabrics, for example. Thanks for sharing!

Maybe I just want to be Italian.

Maybe I'm a brunette supporter.

Maybe I'm simply schizophrenic.

Maybe I just like seeing examples of women who've nailed their own style.

Well, much more reliance on neutrals, but still going for that "drama with ease" like GB, if there is such a thing.

Well I can see what you mean about her! Yes, she is younger and sweeter but dresses in an interesting way with a lot of style. She wears a lot of girly ruffles, but her palette is mostly neutrals and blue from what I see - these are a brunette's colors imho. I especially love #2 and #3 and think they are very translatable for you. Will require more coffee before I think about what is similar to GB. But I love these threads - keep 'em coming!

I agree with a lot of what Cathy said. Playful design elements, refined/understated color usage, strong use of statement pieces, an air of effortlessness. Although the pieces may be precious, the outfits look lived in. I agree with Suz that that reads sexy to me!

She's adorable. What a beautiful, fresh smile. Just lovely.

And yes - it's clothes ALMOSt but not quite as costume, in both of them, really. They are wearing the clothes, and not the reverse, but they are definitely saying "look at me"!

At the same time, they don't say, "touch me not." There's a freedom, a casualness (even when very dressy). They are not going to say, "I can't kiss you because it will muss my lipstick." That makes them sexy.

It's not RATE. But it's polish-without-the-spic-and-span. They are the opposite of uptight.

I find this HUGELY appealing, too.

oh man, she's adorable. Somewhat like a younger Audrey Tautou? Love her in her black and white just grown out of being a schoolgirl looks. And number 6 too.

Some of her more sedate looks would not draw particular attention provided that others in the vicinity were also "dressed" and provided you were not riveted by that face. I relate more to her as inspiration because I'm five feet tall and dressed for steppin'. Don't want to be impeded by taxi shoes.

ETA: me, I'm besotted by Janelle Monae, tap dancing in her tux. Sadly, am about 40 years too old for that style. Though have been known to start dancing in aisles of supermarket if they play something I like.

Hm, what I am seeing from these photos and the ones of GB are people who dress in a playful yet refined manner. The elements of the outfits show they like to use clothing as a way to express their personality, with unique, often unexpected combinations of color and detail.

It's minor and a lot less pic-heavy. I just thought it could provide more confusion--er, I mean depth and insight--into what I find interesting. I'm sure that if I spent a lot of time on that site (I don't--this new one and Giovanna I just happened to stumble on a while back), I would surely come up with individual outfits, and possibly even women with numerous outfits, that I could have an even greater affinity with. But here we are with a very different style and person wearing the clothes, Eva.

She is very young! I don't know if much of her stuff would work on someone over the age of 30. If that old. I culled a lot of "cuter" outfits and am presenting things that are a bit more mature-looking, but still, she is definitely a lot younger and her style is quite different, much less openly sophisticated than Giovanna's. It seems like people here might connect more with it, because the clothes and accessories aren't so brashly couture-ish/cutting-edge designer, or at least they could be much more easily reinterpreted than GB's looks. Agree? In addition, she's on the shorter side, without those "perfect proportions" of Giovanna's, and yet looks smashing in everything. I just think she at least projects as closer to what we can all achieve...

Part of me wonders if I am attracted to both of these women's style auras because of their striking, beautiful faces, framed by dark, dramatic hair. Their clothes do suit each of them personally.

I like that Eva wears loads of flats! And the shoes are also uncomplicated-looking, a 180 from Gio's approach most of the time. Her look is more spare, yet not minimalist.

Her color palette is mostly muted and low-contrast, while GB's is often more dynamic and attention-seeking (though not gaudy).

What I really feel drawn to, on thinking more about it, is the interplay of great textures. The surface of her ensembles is not complex, but underlying it there's some gentle movement and lots of variation.

I'm crazy about 1 (though as an ensemble, I wouldn't do it--but it's so lovely on her). And that bag is to die for.

I love the trouser-jacket combo in 3. And 5 is gorgeous in an understated way. So vintage and lovely. She is definitely wearing the clothes. They're not wearing her.

5 is another look I wouldn't and definitely couldn't pull off--it's almost reminiscent of a schoolgirl uniform--but for some reason I always love those looks.

I'm still trying to distill what attracts me in all these varying situations into some useful formula. Not there yet, or at least I'm getting lots of contradictory signals. But it's a fun exercise!
