This has been the case for a while now. I find things like cardigan almost impossible to find that fit over a long sleeve top. Long skinny arms-like those Chinese think we all have gorilla arms.

I haven't found this in tops, but it has been the case with jackets and coats for sure. Many clients sizing up because sleeves are cut quite narrow.

Thanks for the reality check! It's really awful in sweaters as well these days I'm finding. I'm glad at least a few of us are able to wear these clothes, but at least one can sometimes take in a sleeve in clothes that would fit the rest of us.

I find this too, and I am a smallish woman with fairly fit (and long) arms. I have a problem with arms often being too tight AND too short. Who is this woman they are currently designing for?????

Gigi, I have noticed the same thing, my arms are not that large but the sleeves are definitely snug on most sleeved items! Yikes! If they are tight on me, I know most people are going to struggle!

Yes ... this is so irritating to me, and especially makes no sense on fall/winter toppers where a person would probably want to wear a long sleeve top underneath.

I have noticed this too, but for the opposite reason--I have really skinny arms, and it's nice finding tops that fit me! But I do wonder how average people manage, because even I sometimes have a hard time getting my hands through the sleeves.

I've noticed that in jackets. I've bought and returned quite a few jackets this past year. They didn't have enough ease in the arms and shoulders. I guess they looked okay, as long as I didn't raise my arms. If I sized up, they were too big in the body.

I went shopping today and bought..nothing. Every sleeved garment I tried on, the fit was fine in the body and the sleeves were impossibly tight. I'm not a small woman, and I lift 50 lb feed bags regularly, but my top size is medium or large. This odd shaping seems to be new in the last couple of years, or is it that aging is catching up with me? Has anyone else noticed this?
