Mine is the larger size and gold, and I have two apple bands. I actually find the nylon band a little dressier because it has a gold tone to it and at first glance looks metallic. I also have a silver band and face cover to change the gold to silver that I bought inexpensively on Amazon. The face cover looks pretty cheap if you look too closely, but the band is so bright and silver that the overall look is pretty nice, I think. I don't wear much silver, so I just put that one on from time to time. I'm looking forward to getting more bands over time and I enjoy changing the faces according to my mood or the style of the band or how dressy or casual the occasion is. I LOVE my watch, and am very happy I got the larger size. I hope you have fun with yours.

I've only bought apple ones so far, but I also don't change it as much as I used to either. I tend to wear my brighter colours in the spring/summer and those bands look a bit more casual to my eye. I actually saw someone war on white and one black side and it looked awesome and interesting, so lots of options. You may want to start with a few basics and then see how much you switch it out. I've had mine since they first came out, so often don't give it much thought anymore...tho love the convenience of paying for things with it rather than dragging gout my phone or wallet!

I have the nylon band you have, I think, and find that because it's very neutral it fades and can surprisingly dress up quite a bit. I do wear bracelets on the same arm and also frequently wear sleeves. A store employee told me that he has seen multiple bands from Amazon that fit quite nicely though.

Minimalist, that is definitely one way to go with it. Since I wear a lot of sleeveless and shortsleeved clothing, mine is really "on display".. That is why I am thinking of trying to make it more of an accessory.
K2, you are doing exactly what I hope to. Marianna, that leather band is nice - I really like the texture.
Question for K2 and Marianna - did you buy Apple-branded bands, or from another maker ? I'm a touch concerned about whether a third party band might fit the watch properly. But they do seem to be popular.

Below is one band I have - black leather on my rose gold watch. I also bought the Nylon one you have and I wear it often. I find it looks less casual than "nylon" sounds. Leather is dressier.

Mine's stainless steel (for durability), and the larger size, so I accept it as a functional gadget and don't expect it to look like an accessory, no matter what band I use.

Can't wait to see others' suggestions, though!

I was gifted an Apple Watch recently. It's a good deal larger than any watch I've worn before. Also, it is aluminum colored, and I tend to prefer gold and warmer tones in my jewelry and clothing.

BUT I can read text messages and see who is calling when the phone rings without having to find my phone, and wait for it.......

I have, right on my wrist, a rotating slide show of photos of my daughters (two human and one canine). Needless to say, I'm loving it!!

But, I am in the market for a band or bands to make it more like an accessory than an electronic device.

Suggestions?
