Thank you so much for this post Shannon! You have predicted? predated? not one but two posts I have been intending to make. (Adding pictures seems so complicated to me that I rarely get around to posting when I want to.)

#1 was to be entitled "How do I love thee? Let me count the Clarks"... illustrated with all the Clarks shoes/booties I own and why I love each pair. (I own at least seven.) This post may yet happen...

And #2 was to be a plea for Chelsea boots readily available in Canada that would come in my size (11W) and have a chance of being comfortable. My experience with comfort and fit with Clarks has been so positive that they're the only footwear I will order sight unseen and fully expect to fit. So my search may already be over.. Well, except for the hunt for the best price. No Clarks stores in the Maritimes as far as I know...

Big fan of Clarks here, too, and I also have fussy feet. They are one of the few brands I have found to be consistently comfortable. That little nuances don't come up over time stealing away the comfort.

Loving the Chelsea, especially. Gorgeous bootie. And I have been all about almond toe versus pointed. The pointed ones just aren't comfortable for me.

Lisa - a brand new Clarks store in St. Vital mall - down the aisle across from Zumiez if I remember correctly. They also have a new Browns shoe store in there.

Which mall, Shannon? I like these, and could see you wearing any and all. The pumps are interesting, and could be a good "professional" shoe for work, I agree. The patent and colour ups the style quotient for sure. I have a pair of cognac suede ankle boots I bought this fall (all the posts on them and all, figured I should get some) and I totally HATE them . They are like the Edelman Petty style, and they look like boats on my feet. I think I might go have a look at these Chelsea's in the cognac as I much prefer that cut of a boot for me. Good finds here !!

I am a fan of Clarks too. Although it was always hit and miss with their "Artisan" collection. I would definitively go for the Chelseas. About the burgundy, they do look comfy with a rubber sole, but I'd need to see them on you - wearing a skirt - to assess.

I agree that Clarks is getting more stylish. Like Style Fan, Clarks is one of the few brands I can wear.

The Chelsea boots look just like my Ugg Cortonas (in the short form) - and I wear them ALL THE TIME.

I love both the Chelsea boots and the brogues! Clarks has been making some great styles for a while, but sadly they don't work for my feet.

That's great! I love the look of the chelseas, more refined than I would have expected. That's great news for fussy feet

I had to go to the local Mall last night to return a shirt I bought for hubby that didn't fit right and while there, noticed they had a new Clarks store. I popped in and ended up trying on three styles. All three were extremely comfortable, contain the Clarks Plus intelligent underfoot cushioning which works well for my fussy feet, and were under $200.

#1 - a wedge chunky style pump - available in both black patent and burgundy patent

#2 - classic Chelsea available in both black leather and cognac leather

#3 - classic brogue available in both burgundy and black

I think I'm going to go back and buy the Chelsea boots as a replacement for my Ara booties. Although nowhere near the refined pointy look of the Ara's, the comfort of these is a 10 out of 10 and these days, that's more important. And although the toe isn't pointy, it's not completely round either.

I am also seriously considering the burgundy patent pumps - wouldn't they look funky with a pencil skirt and tights?

Anyway - just wanted to give a shout out to Clarks and acknowledge that they seem to have stepped up their style game. They don't look as "old lady" as they used to.
