I think the shoulder fit is fine. If you can try a size up, I might do that just for comparison. Sometimes that can work even if your suspicion is that it will be too. big -- it might give just enough extra ease to make the dress feel more "shifty" than "sheath-like" if you know what I mean.&nbsp;</p> <p>Another consideration -- how is it with hose? I am looking at it from a garment construction viewpoint and the comments about the high<br /> -ish neckline supported my point that the body of the dress sits up a little high on you …..creating extra volume at the armhole / bust . The color in the stock photo is really nice. </p> <p>The most important thing is your comfort. I have broad shoulders and while the dress fits fine everywhere else, the shoulders are cut in further than I am used to. It’s stretchy (and heavy!) so movement is not a problem.&nbsp;</p> <p>Purchased because the sale price was tempting (I had quite a few Nordstrom notes also) and I need a “just-in-case” dress for cooler weather since I’ve edited out many dresses the last few years. Seems like it would be versatile and could be dressed up or down.
