Have you been dieting to loose the weight? If so I'd get rid of everything that is too big. My friend and I did slimming world a couple of years ago, I chucked everything that was too big and now if my current things feel a bit tight I know I need to cut back on rubbish food. sadly she kept all her big clothes and her weight has crept back on because she just grabbed the bigger clothes from the wardrobe. My BF is loosing weight at the moment and is chucking things as they get too big he says it's rather cleansing to get rid of it, in fact the first pair of jeans got chopped up with the scissors! x

I normally keep just one pair in case I gain some weight and get rid of the rest!
Declutter is always better, it's good for the spirit. So when I gain weight, having just a pair of jeans is always a good reason to start recovering fast my previous weight!

Go on, have a leap of faith Tara! I suggest saving just one pair and getting rid of the rest. You don't need that sort of clutter in your wardrobe young lady! (You need accessories - lots of gorgeous accessories!! Oooops, I'm not really helping, am I?! )

I would keep at least a pair or two in case you gain weight again. Saves a lot of trouble getting dressed in the morning if the weight sneaks up on you. Speaking from experience. I fluctuate a size or two depending on stress, lifestyle, etc.

If premium denim... it might be worth a simple alteration:)

I'd definitely buy new jeans (go premium denim if possible- it's SO much better).

I think what you need to ask yourself is: If you do put on weight again, will you feel good wearing those jeans?

If you would, then I'd put them in a box for 6 months then re-evaluate. If you wouldn't, I'd pass them on.

Hi all,

I am wearing my black skinnies today but I've noticed, as with several other pairs of jeans, that they are now a little too loose on the hips. They keep slipping down and bunching around my upper thighs and bum which is driving me INSANE!

I lost a little weight in the hip area especially, where I used to have quite a bit to hold them firmly in place just above my hip line they now wriggle down. They still look ok but looser round the legs too.

I'm scared to get rid of them in case I put weight on again, I've fluctuated between a 10 and 12 (US size 6-8) on and off for a few years and a 10 is quite a snug fit on me now. But I've been a 10 for almost a year now.

Should I hang on to them just in case? I probably couldn't ask too much for them - they're in good condition but I've worn them quite a bit and they weren't uber expensive to begin with.

Thoughts?
