Because of the way it flares, it almost needs to be with a fitted top and if you don't do fitted tops then it is really hard to get it to look good. Seemed easy to wear, but I absolutely could not find a way to wear that thing that I felt good in. I would try tucking a top or wearing a short, perhaps slightly boxy top that shows the waist when you move. <br />I also think a tee with a fairly slim fit, with a shorter vest layered over it, would be a good bet, though--so I'm not sure why your outfit didn't work. It looks like a fairly soft knit fabric so I think some structure on top would help balance it out.
