It's definitely too warm for Scotland, it's a warm wool coat. I wore my grey one almost exclusively last winter because we had very few days below freezing. So this would be first wearable in October maybe, depending on weather. But then all through winter until March or April or so if it doesn't get too cold. It's too big now, but with the sale going on at Lands' End and an additional code I could get the coat one size down for 65€ (instead of 150€). The color I like best from the ones available is this purple. I'd have to see if the size works out, but do you think it's worth a try? I hadn't planned to do any shopping besides things for Scotland right now, but then it's such a great price for a wool coat. </p>
