Yesterday I bought a pair of BOC flats from DSW for $40 and they were cute and sort of almost comfy but not great. I realized I should just return them and invest in shoes that I loved and would love me back--and promptly ordered the Fidjis at work. $500 is worth it if the cost to wear ratio whittles the cost down, but the shoulders make me wonder. For all I know they'll become another classic (and I seriously hope they do)--so I'm not saying you should return necessarily. It's a slouchy, boyish fit. I would not wear it buttoned. I think that is why it wasn't well received the first time around. Mine would look "too big" if I buttoned it, because it is meant to be quite loose. Also, to the untrained eye, it might still appear big because people just aren't used to it. I think you should bump this when Angie gets back to be sure because it is so expensive.</p> <p>My only concern is that extended shoulders are quite "in" right now but may not be in 6 months or a year or five years.
