Thanks for your feedback friends - the verdict is: it's going back! As the day wore on, I felt progressively more uncomfortable with the low neckline and fit, so back it goes. I appreciate everyone's constructive criticism!

Good to see you around MG! I like the color and pattern, but the overall shape isn't my favorite on you. And if you're not sure how comfortable you will feel in it, I vote return and hold out for something you feel more yourself in.

Hey Carter. That was actually a typing error! I meant, a bra with smaller centre panel, like most minimizer bras. The bra with no centre panel (Pic 1) doesn't work very well for large cup sizes.

I have bras like the ones shown below. They eliminate the boobage completely. What I mean is basically a bra that will lift and separate the breasts and not push them together, like for example a plunge bra or balconette bra

I say pass because of all the fuss and fixing you will want to do to wear it.
You have hit some home runs on dresses recently, so my hope is there are more of those out there!

I agree with sending it back. The last thing you need to wear with a summer dress is a cami. The fewer layers the better, right?

Oh I love the colour & the pattern! I think they fall into the 'east meets wild wild west' umbrella, if not the specific Edwardian gentleman one. (BTW, have you ever seen Warehouse 13? If not, google the wardrobe for the character HG, who adds turn of the century details to her outfits.)

I'm not bothered by the boobage (love your facial expression in the second!) or midsection clinginess, however, I also wouldn't want to have to wear a cami under a summer dress. I think that's really up to you; if you end up deciding it's too low cut for work, would you get enough wear out of it on the weekends?

You had me at wash and wear! I like it on you, so I'm voting to keep. The color is fab, and the pattern is really different.

The teeny bit of boobage wouldn't bother me, but I am curious about the bra Maneera describes "with no center front". I'm having a hard time imagining it. Maneera, could you find a picture online to post, please?

I really like the colour, pattern and shape. You could sort the neckline out with a Second Base Cami. It's a little clingy on the midsection though, which might be due to the fabric. I vote return.

I love the colors. This dress is a piece of art! But as someone who is rather large chested and weary of boobage, I wonder if this dress would just hang in your closet because you feel too conscious of wearing it anytime, anywhere.

However, I think the problem of a low neckline can be removed with a different bra. I hope you won't mind my being so candid....but I have suffered from this same problem for years and years, and wish only to help you keep this lovely dress. I always had too much boobage problem until a year back and often wondered why fashion experts recommended a V neck for busty women when i could never wear one. And I hated to wear a cami underneath everything!

Then a friend recommended an under wired, non-padded bra that had no centre front, so it separated out my breasts perfectly....and V necks as well as scoop necks became wearable! Even a low neckline that shows some décolleté ends up looking rather classy with those bras! I highly recommend it, because I think this dress is gorgeous.

I really like the color on you, but I'm not sure I like the dress with the topper you are wearing. I don't think the boobage is obscene from the pictures, but if you feel uncomfortable I would pass because you won't wear it.

That is a tough one. There are a lot of positives and the color is VERY good for you. The one big "but" for me is that you are concerned about the boobage. Do you think this will keep you from wearing the dress as often as you would like?

Day 1 of my dress challenge! I am wearing this dress from Gwynnie Bee and am considering buying/keeping it, but would like some feedback.

Positives

 my favorite color

 reasonably flattering

 very comfortable

 fits well

 wash and wear

so so easy to throw on and wear (adult onsies for the win!)

Negatives

rather more body con than I usually wear

has nothing to do with "Edwardian gentleman naturalist"

a bit booby, especially when sitting down

What say you, fabbers? You won't hurt my feelings if you tell me to send it back! OTOH, maybe you think I'm crazy to return a dress with so many positives ...
