That's because the waistband is contoured. It's 12 inches or more in the back. And they never feel like they are falling down. Mind you, they probably couldn't fall down over my substantial thighs.&nbsp;</p> <p>With other low rise jeans I sometimes got the "it's cutting into my hip bone" feeling. It's just sitting in my closet. I have found that I have enough other pants and jeans that I am not forced to wear the duplicate pair, plus the original pair can be worn enough between wash cycles as to make the need for a dupe unnecessary.</p> <p>I am like you, Suz, in that I too want variety in my closet. If I duplicate something, it makes me feel like I need to wear the thing even more often to justify the dupe pair. So it's actually less freeing to me emotionally.
