I think you can also wear a lower heel, with a bootie that has a narrow-ish ankle. I've found that to be key in wearing my cropped jeans, anyway. You have to be at peace with the fact that they are not going to give the same uninterrupted line of a full-length jean. But I think this color is just right for you. I have the tag tucked in my pocket for now, wearing around the house but getting ready to go out. I do trust the SA who gushed about these on me — I tried a full length pair in a very similar wash that weren’t anywhere near as good as these, and she agreed. I do feel like they’ve sort of stretched a little in length as I’m wearing them, so the length here does seem a little longer than it seemed in store. Trimming a bit of length from them would not be a difficult task, but I would be very slow to make that decision. I think the high shaft booties add to the impression there is a bit more length to the jeans too, sort of filling in the gap, which I actually like.
