However, in my circumstances I cannot shell out hundreds more for a brick and mortar store pair. I know my PD thanks to my nice opthalmologist and used the width measurements from my current pair. They have a good return policy and I'm curious to try it out. I do, so it's crucial for me that they fit perfectly and I can easily go back to store for adjustments, repair or replacement. I would never buy something as essential as this online. Plus the experienced sales assistant at my fully-stocked optometrist office even ordered in several pairs from their suppliers for me to try. She measured pupillary distance accurately, knew exactly what I wanted and needed and even though there were great options already in-store, she went the extra mile to be sure I was fully satisfied. I don't see how you can tell if frames really fit and look good without trying them on. To me the higher cost was well worth it. You usually get what you pay for, I find.
