If you like variety and the price is right, go ahead and buy them.</p> <p>A word of caution, buy only the jackets you would still buy if they were almost as much as back home. Also, styles look different after you get them back in your closet. Oz light is different, so are the silhouettes or the norms. Would you wear the jackets back home? If you find a workhorse or 2 or a show stopper "wow" item that puts a huge smile on your face, go for it. I have had to buy a lot of new wardrobe items simultaneously and it is not only expensive, but also can weight your choices towards one moment in time or circumstance in a way that may have some disadvantages. Some general advice would be to make sure you leave enough money in your budget for a good black suit, but by all means add another jacket or 2 while you are on holiday if you can see them playing well with the rest of your wardrobe. It is my tendency alongside quite a bit of churning aka boredom with my clothes. At the same time, I get bored with what is in store at home and the endless choice of black or black outfits. In Australia clothes and shoes are expensive and I am picky on size/style. I love a jacket and would like to wear more smart casual jackets - given one can easily pay several 100$ for a jacket at home, I tend to keep them for&nbsp;the office&nbsp;even though I work from home several days a week. <br />I am in the UK right now and in shopping heaven - price, style, sizes all lining up in a row. I have found about 4 or 5 jackets that look just great and the prices are a snap... e.g.&nbsp;I could wear a lovely 'tweed' look jacket with my jeans and t without flipping out etc.&nbsp;Of course once I put this many in the shopping basket there is still a financial outlay and I could get one good jacket back home. And then there is the minimalism thing - do I need 5 new jackets??!?!?!? I have to say I DO have a new black jacket or suit on my list (and would like to have a sharp jacket for the conference in 2 weeks). My careful choices I have bought on tour&nbsp;of the denim and leather jackets in colours and sizes I wanted are being worn constantly... Should&nbsp;I buy or should I put the brakes on?!?!?
