It's definitely breezy (it's 70% cotton 30% silk). And that way I'd have something a bit fancier. The scarf is probably a good idea too. It looks like it'd work nicely with all your pieces, and would certainly brighten or smarten up any of your outfits as needed. The oversized blue button-down shirt looks comfy and breezy; if the fabric is breathable it might be a better option for surprise hot weather than one of the tees. I don't mind it wrinkly, adds to the "ease" of the look. One reviewer said she returned them because she felt like it would be strange to wear office wear on the hiking trail. It's true that it still is rather dark overall, but if it all works so well together... I just remembered another scarf that I have that I could take, the one below. Thin cotton, so not really for warmth, more for accessorizing. When it's cold I'd probably be fine without a scarf if I wear the wool pullover and the rain jacket. Maybe I'm going to take my oversized blue button down too, although I'd have to wear it wrinkled and make peace with it. The blue scarf I had ordered arrived today, but I've already taken it back to the post office - really bad quality for the price! Definitely not worth keeping. But I stumbled upon another item today that I wanted to give a try, some discontinued Icebreaker shorts that were priced the same as the scarf! If they fit they might be a much better addition to the travel capsule (and the wardrobe in general). They're supposed to be a heathery black/ dark grey, made out of 70% merino wool and 30% cotton. Reviews said the fabric would feel substantial, like premium denim. They have a definite dress pants vibe to them...&nbsp; They definitely don't look like practical hiking shorts!</p> </p>
