LOL.</p> <p>I thought this morning I'd give them another go and decided they don't look as bad as I thought.  They fit really well and are very comfortable but they are just weird and trendy and I thought the pale denim didn't look great with my skin tone .   <b>Traditionally flattering? Not at all, and are my legs great? Not anymore </b>- I'm 65, have pale freckled and now age-spotted skin, a permanently swollen knee and don't get as much serious exercise as I once did but at least legs aren't as in-your-face  as arms are, so.....I fiddled around with a couple of <b>top</b>s (initially had a navy linen sweater on which I liked but couldn't get shoes picked out to my liking .  Settled on this one (<b>Zara, linen/cotton)</b>  plain black Italian <b>Gravity Pope sandals </b>(cute but entirely useless ) and I may donate them )  , a second-hand vintage-ish <b>Coach clutch, </b>and <b>Mejuri silver and pearl necklaces, </b>  I think the <b>skin sandwich </b>, so to speak , saves this look in that the lack of waist definition and visual bulk is tempered by bare arms and legs .  </p> <p>I'm not sure how much use I'll get out of these, but the relatively low cost (<b>Gap, big sale</b>) made me change my mind on them.  With things like shorts, and the tank tops of the other day, it's all in the fit and  styling .  I was also thinking about Irina's expression of surprise that so many of us like wearing shorts. I'm wondering if it's a cultural/North American thing . Every Canadian born female I know wears shorts regardless of age - not everywhere and for every occasion, but we all own them. </p>
