So I end up in a M instead of a S and then sometimes have the sides taken in a bit. My thickening middle-aged waist means I have no tolerance for anything that shows midriff at all anymore.&nbsp;</p> <p>I have realized recently that with a short torso and challenging proportions that result, there is actually a rather small window of flattery for top lengths for me. I have actually considered having some of my older tops shortened -- the ones that are long and got worn in long-over-lean silhouettes.
