That way you don't have to worry about where the waist actually hits you and can adjust that visual line to your liking. Its a good way to winterize a warm weather dress, too. A "cropped" sweater will hit just above my hip bones. I'll look for a low rise skirt, which will be mid-rise on me and hit around the bellybutton (or, a skirt with some elastic in the waist). A skirt marketed as knee length will often be midi on me - 26" is my sweet spot. I don't like to tuck so I leave the sweater loose and just make sure it has a slightly boxy cut. </p> <p>But that's me. What exactly feels "off" when you try this look?
