If you run cold, I would purge, unless they are wonderful. Although I notice that on spring runways short sleeves were all over the place. So....who knows? It's sort of weird for our climate. Having said that, I have a couple of sleeveless modal turtleneck tops and I actually wear them a lot at this particular time of year under jackets. As in, mornings are cold, but later it gets hot.

Maybe they have no place in YOUR fall/winter wardrobe? I like short-sleeve and sleeveless tops in winter because I like the look of layering but run hot. The idea of your arms feeling cold even with a jacket on is foreign to me.

Do you love these tops other than the comfort issue? If not, you could just purge them as unsuited to your particular life.

Yes, these can be tough to style. I figured one reason for so many sleeveless tops of all kinds, including those wool shells and mock necks and turtlenecks that are so ubiquitous and as part of total outfits, is that the jackets lie better and can be more fitted in the arms and shoulders.
So if you still like your tops , if focus on how to pair them with toppers you don't remove. Jackets and cardi's or perhaps a pullover sweater, if the knits can " go".

Last time I landed a teaching job, I went to TJMaxx and bought several tops because I was in a hurry and badly needed some work clothes. Two are turtlenecks - one red, one black. The strange thing is that they are short-sleeved. I would have preferred long sleeves but wasn't acting on the PPP principle at the time.

How are these meant to be worn? In the past I've worn them only under jackets or cardigans, and my arms got cold. I'm sure that now that I'm in a colder climate, that will be even less of a solution. I've considered layering a long underwear top under them, but then I really can't remove my topper. Any ideas or suggestions? Or do short sleeves have no place in the Fall and Winter wardrobe?
