So ideally, we will need more info to help you out.  Most stores in your size range offer wearable pieces at any age if you know what you're looking for. The only items that I feel are pretty lacking at the moment are casual dresses with sleeves and sufficient hem length.  I provide top picks every week of very wearable pieces - most of which I have seen on the bodies of clients that vary in age, size, and body type. Sometimes it can help to go with a shopping savvy friend (if you have one) -- or maybe with a specific item that you need in mind.  Angie always says to start your style journey with a hair and specs and underwear update -- that is a terrific, confidence-boosting first step.  Next, maybe consider what you would like to wear. You mentioned that jeans and tees are not what you want to wear every day. What WOULD you like? My climate is quite different from yours (I live in Canada) but over the last two years, I've built a very workable closet of items mostly from: Nordstrom's, the Bay, Banana Republic, J. Crew., Club Monaco, and Zara. I do wear a lot of denim, but not every day, and my regular rotation of clothing includes casual skirts/ dresses, different kinds of pants and shorts, and non-t-shirt tops.  One thing that helps is trying stuff on. I really do not feel old, but everything I see  seems to be made for much younger women. I am 56, 5'4, average figure and would like to dress in a stylish manner. I would think there are a lot of women in my situation. When I walk into a department store I am overwhelmed with all the choices, yet most are geared to the young...... I live a casual lifestyle in Florida where I wear "warm weather " clothes year round. But I don't want to wear jeans and tee shirts everyday. I would appreciate any and all suggestions:) Jennell
