I think the skirt is adorable, and I don't see what the problem is with an elastic waist on a skirt. On pants it's fugly because it causes a lot of awkward fit issues and a bloated look, but on a skirt which is already poofy, I don't see why it matters. If it's really bothersome, just don't tuck it and no one will know (of course you'll have to keep the shirt short enough for a skirt). The idea of a waist belt is also smart. </p> <p>28 is young and you have a killer bod. My only concern might be height. I don't personally wear these kinds of skirts because I'm short and I get mistaken for a teenager enough as it is (I am 25, 5'2).
