Sometimes we have to wait for the decisions from a different time zones... in the meantime, here's my €0.02 worth :D

I actually don't miss the fluidity on this one at all, I like its structure and stiffness, which look like they could be used creatively to 'tame' some of your drapey pieces if you want to play with that. But it simply looks a bit too big. Sizing down?

I hope you made your decision and are happy with it. I just had to weigh in on ANY thread that referred to shopping when we should be working. Wahahahaha so guilty of this one myself!!!

It doesn't feel quite fluid enough to me either, given your usual style.

FWIW,I bought a quilted jacket ins similar boxy shape a few years ago and have had trouble wearing it. It seems too big. I like the colors (black with colored vertical stripes and hope the oversized trend will help me to feel comfortable wearing it. It's the lack of structure that bothers me. You are already addressing this by thinking of wearing it over slim bottoms.

Thanks for responses! I am just so picky and indecisive lately lol! It's the smallest size;). It's not expensive and I'm 1.5 hours from home so not easy to return.

It would be outerwear and I'm picturing it with skinny pants and even pencil skirts but I am concerned the shoulders are too much. But it's a foreign silhouette so I'm not sure.

I like it except for the bright zipper. The texture looks good as does the quilting. I think the sleeves also need to be more bracelet length. It doesn't look too trendy for you Deb, but like Anna I don't think it's quite there either.

Deborah, you have great clarity on what works for your style. How does it feel when you have it on? Do you want to wear it out of the store?

I like it! My only concern is that the view from the side makes it look like the material is poufing out a bit in the bust and the back—but maybe it's supposed to do that, if the fabric is more structured. I'm terrible with fit, so nitpicky fit things aside, I think it could work for you.

Hard to say with this pictures. It looks big on you. I know it is intentionally oversized but it can still be too big I think. It sort of bothers me that the sleeves and the bottom hem are the same length but the sleeves could be shortened a bit. I do like the idea in principle!

I like the texture, quilting pattern. But it's REALLY boxy.
I almost want to like it, but I don't think it's quite there.

Hi Fabbers,

On the road for work and on lunch. Spotted this but need opinions pls.

It's a boxy drop shoulder zip jacket in an satiny fabric with a self pattern. Could this work for me?? I like it but it's probably a touch trendier than my norm. I do like the oversized boxy look over slim bottoms.

Grabbing lunch and heading back to Bendigo soon so your speedy thoughts much appreciated.

xxxDeborah
