I love the scarf and the gear moto, and this combination seems tailor made for mall shopping, where you don't want to be lugging around a coat (heavy or otherwise) and yet you might need some protection for the occasional blast of cooler air near doorways. The scarf seems tossed on in that casually elegant "oh, <b>this </b>old thing?!?" kind of way.
