My daughter is on a plane as I write this headed home from visiting Austin. She wants to move there. She is bound and determined to live somewhere else before settling back down here, eventually. Austin, I have heard, is hip and cool like Portland&nbsp;and similar in a lot of ways. But I am sure the weather is completely different. Sometimes the warm weather waits until July to show up and sticks around until mid October. Then it's lots of rain.&nbsp;gray skies, and green. &nbsp;It's beautiful. Sadly, I live in the humid, jungle like weather that is Florida. When the temperature drops below 60 here, the natives are freezing but I love it! <br />I lived three years in Moscow and loved being in the cold. My friends told me i was crazy for going but I really didn't mind it.
